Outsourcing of the Armed Forces
At present there are already a number of activities that are performed outside of military facilities or inside by industry personnel for the maintenance of the Armed Forces. Despite the complexity of the process, with old weapons systems together with other refurbished electronics and others very modern, to continue until outsourcing is total is considered something very necessary in an era of spending restraints and performance demand.
The Working Group is expected to agree on the actions to be taken based on; a study of the capabilities of the Madrid Region, a selection of areas of interest, the analysis of Madrid's businesses that have technology and an capacity to participate, a feasibility study of the project plan and the identification of the advantages for the Air Force (an analysis together with the Air Force, from a legal standpoint, of which legal model should be adopted, and a discussion with candidate firms about their interest in a joint venture or other collaborative model).
