The Unit of International Innovation, UII, of the Community of Madrid Parks and Clusters Network, is a professional support service for preparing and presenting quality R&D projects in the EU 7th Framework Programme.
The main aim at the UII is to promote and facilitate Madrid business participation in the 7FP, specially promoting the incorporation of new businesses. For this, the UII performs information, promotion and training activities, personally sees to and advises any organisation with the potential or interest in participating in the 7FP and provides unconditional support during the entire lifecycle of a project, from the initial idea stage through guidance, preparation and presentation of the proposal, finding partners, negotiation and signing the contract with the European Commission and carrying out the project until its complete termination.
The UII is part of the CDTI Tecnoeuropa Programme which aims to increase the return of Spanish investment in the 7FP via a series of aid programmes directly and indirectly aimed at businesses, including the creation and putting into operation UIIs at the heart of business associations or Technology Platforms.
It comprises a team of specialised professionals in multidisciplinary project management with a deep knowledge of EU institutions and main funding programmes and direct contact with authorities responsible for management, particularly the European Commission.
So as to carry out its activities, the UII also enjoys the legal, technical and administrative support of the Parks and Clusters Network, as well as the support and collaboration of specialised consultants as per the requirements of every specific case.
